Are these the most useless people alive? They’ve got to be the most overpaid. I’m starting to think that my friends who are contractors have the right idea. Corporate life sucks, and multi-page annual evaluation forms (in French, en plus) REALLY suck, even if most of the feedback is good. What a waste of time. I could be working… or eating… or surfing porn. Instead, I’m… well, posting on b’n’s. But I’ll soon be filling out useless paperwork so some wonk upstairs can somehow use it to decide that I won’t get a raise next year.

I could stand a job in HR. At one former employer, those fat cats were always catering lunches… for themselves. What a job!
-and now that a lot of HR functionality is outsourced to third-party outfits, those people have even more surfing to do on the company dime…

On a somewhat related note, I’ve always enjoyed going in to the loo at the office and seeing toilet seat covers — always with the same message “Provided by the Management”. Glad to see they’re thinking of my ass.
